ANCESTRAL RITUAL · YUCATÁN JUNGLE

The sacred bath that transforms

One of the oldest healing traditions in Mesoamerica, alive in the heart of the Yucatán jungle.

WHAT IS THE TEMAZCAL?

A stone dome that heals

The temazcal is a pre-Hispanic steam bath used by indigenous peoples of Mesoamerica for over 3,000 years. The name comes from Nahuatl: ‘temazcalli’ — the house of heat.

Volcanic stones are heated for hours in the sacred fire. The steam of medicinal herbs, the guide’s chants, and the intense heat create a deep cleansing — physical, emotional, and spiritual — that participants describe as one of the most powerful experiences of their lives.
